During the Best of Bangkok Food Tour with The Hungry Tourist (https://www.instagram.com/the.hungry.tourist/), Puppup (https://www.instagram.com/puppup_foodlife/), and Mark Wiens (myself), one of the main events was the incredible lechon and entire Filipino food boodle fight (feast) prepared by Dedet, known as the Lechon Diva.

Lechon is a Filipino delicacy, roast pig, and the golden skin will blow your taste buds with crunchiness and flavor.

Lechon Diva is legendary in the Philippines, and throughout the world for cooking one of the best versions, and a gourmet version of Filipino lechon. This is no ordinary lechon, her lechon is stuffed with truffle rice. I arrived early in order to see the process as they set the table – 4 pigs, 26 kilos of rice, and a never ending supply of crabs, oxtail, and vegetables – really an ultimate Filipino boodle fight.

The lechon was unbelievably delicious, the combination of the skin, the oozy truffle rice, and the meat.

We had an amazing time experiencing a Filipino food tradition – boodle fight – and one of the best lechon’s you’ll find in the world.

Thank you again to Lechon Diva and team for an outstanding lechon boodle fight experience.

Thank you to David – The Hungry Tourist – for organizing.

  1. Mark, you and Trevor James of the Food Ranger channel have got to be genetically related in some way! You look like brothers or almost twins and you both have a love of food and both have a YouTube channel focused on exploration of food. Really you should both get genetic testing. Its quite uncanny the resemblance between you.

  3. Love lechon… each time I watch a show that features a lechon it reminds me of my childhood. I remember my grandma would hired a couple or 4 men that actually roast the pig using a big long bamboo skewer after my grandmother prepares the pig. The men would build a hot coals & woods in our backyard. Then they will roast the pig for hours by turning the bamboo like a roasteserie. My grandma would also use to cook the pigs liver for Sarsa as a dipping sauce for the lechon. Never been to a boodle food fight before or ever. It’s great that you’re introducing Filipino dishes in Bangkok, Thailand. Thanks Mark. ????????❤️

  4. I eat meat, but I’m sorry that was disturbing. It was probably a baby pig and eating the brain like that. Just gross and kinda barbaric
