Adopting a cat from a shelter is something I’ve never done. So I’m sharing my animal adoption experience at our local animal shelters here in Tulsa, Oklahoma to hopefully inspire others to adopt from their local rescue shelters as well. My cat Sparta was originally given to me by a friend who got him from a little girl who went door to door trying to find him a home before her mother took him to the pound. My cat Loki (RIP) was adopted through an independent cat rescue which operated on weekends through Petsmart.

Today at 3 PM Sparta will get his shots and we’ll be heading back to pick up our new furry friend. I just hope he’s still there but I also hope he’s not.

My Mum let me adopt 2 free kittens, One was bigger and I named him Milo! I named the slimmer one Coco. Milo was actually bigger because his belly was full of worms and other bad deseases :c They are in great shape, loved, cared for and treated wonderfully now!
What can you do to help? Try and get the free cats. Some are unfortunate and get given to illegal dog fighters and are brutally killed.

and also have had other rescue cats, we had one for about 10 years She was out neighbours cat who was living under our deck, and they said we could keep her, and she sadly passed in 2016, then got the shelter cat Misty and then also found another stray Shadow
