We got a call to rescue a street dog with a huge swelling on her head. Her left eye was completely hidden inside the swelling and blood covered her face from the oozing mass.
We brought her back to Animal Aid and diagnosed that she had a form of malignant cancer called a transmissible venereal tumour (TVT). Thankfully, this type of cancer can be cured with chemotherapy.
