I think they are equally as tragic but what impresses me is that there are people who will risk their own lives TO SAVE A DOG — I would DEFINITELY but I am a passionate dog lover – the tsunami was horrifying but there literally was NOTHING that could be done to save to them so I can understand why it was barely a blimp on your radar – my SINCERE gratitude to those who will go the extra mile for MY best friends – canines

26. and just HOW did the dog get in this predicament? Well, put it this way, if owners KEEP their dogs ON LEASHES they WONT get in this terrible predicament! I NEVER let my dog run loose off my property, they get into trouble or annoy other people…

41. @markblyn Wow I don't know whether to be more disgusted at the core of your post (who cares if hundreds of thousands of humans die) or the fact that it was voted the top comment. Just proves humans could care less about humans dying (why there's so much murder and war) but the minute an animal dies its the most horrible thing ever. All life is precious. I guess had a Tsunami killed you someone else would sip their tea and not give a shit either, I mean its just one less person.
