More than 90 cats and dogs, many in urgent need of veterinary attention, were rescued from a White County, Ark., property after authorities discovered them living in filth and suffering from a lack of basic care. Arkansas State Police called in The Humane Society of the United States and other area and national organizations, including Central Arkansas Rescue Efforts for Animals, The Humane Society of Saline County, and RedRover, to assist in the rescue and removal of the animals.

However! In 2011 HSUS and its Texas affiliate Texas "Humane" Legislation Network, what did they do? They successfully lobbied to defeat a bill that would have ended carbon monoxide gassing of Texas shelter pets, resulting in 30,000 avoidable gassings! No more puppy mills! No more damn animal breeders!!! Adopt a pet if you want one, go to rescues, go to animal shelters. Never ever go to a breeder or a pet store!!!
