Hippos always do that.. They like the feeling of the crocodile skin on their gums… It's obvious because if a hippo wanted it could litteraly bite a crocodile in half, and in less than a second.

So many people dont realize that the hippo is very territory. And the hippo is the only animal that the crocodile wont mess with, unlike other animals.

Clearly the young hippo is having a bit of a game with the big lizard. If he wanted to hurt it he could obviously do so with those jaws and the croc isn't overly purturbed either and knows better than get bitey about it a contest it will lose this time.
