10. First of all, your scissors need to be sharp enough to cut or use electric sheers. You also ought to watch a grooming video or two before you begin. You hold the beard and or take a grip along the jaw and top of the head to control the head while cutting. Watch my favorite Groomer. She does it right and knows her business.

39. The thing about little breeds like this, they almost always end up with goofy home done bang trims. Whatever does the job and let’s him see, it’s not a huge thing to do have to do at home and you’ll save money just sucking up and doing it yourself. Then in turn he won’t need to wait for an appointment to see ? he doesn’t have to look perfect, just be happy and healthy

I use simple household scissors for trimming my little dog’s fur, and something I did to help for when I had to trim her that I recommend is while Gary’s still young and he’s being calm, just gently run the closed scissors around his eyes, nose, and ears, so that he gets used to the feeling and noise of them being so close. It also really helps for down the line when you take him to the groomers!

44. I had a shih tzu and we would have to cut the hair around his eyes because it would get so long and he was so good and trusting with us cutting his hair that he would literally sit on a chair and let us trim it, best pup I ever had
