While in Siem Reap I went on an epic food tour with Angkor Street Eats, led by local guide, Kun. Throughout the duration of the evening I tried dozens of new foods and drinks that completely exceeded my expectations.

The tour provides a bevy of unique, authentically khmer dishes as well as a few adventure eating courses that will really test your palette. These are foods and places that you will not find on your own near any tourist areas.

Beyond the amazing food, my guide Kun, was a beacon of knowledge. Since he grew up in Siem Reap, he is literally a part of its history. He told stories about conflicts within the country, the ways Siem Reap has changed over the years and of course, all about the food.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Siem Reap. You will not find an experience like this anywhere else.

I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting and strange foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly MY point of view, but is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  2. It's not the way we eat baby duck eggs that you ate . Eggs + herb + salt and pepper+ lemon + garlic to remove the strong smell

  3. today show is very important because we often don't understand why is it people do this and eat that?and with the help of your tour guide we finding out that war forces people to live in survival mode for long people began eating whatever moves and when the war is finally over people are lost within themselves and continue living that same way.sonny can you imagine the number of countries who is going through that same process because of war…war is ugly man

  4. I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and I was surrounded by Cambodians. My best friends and uncles and now my cousins are all Cambodian and introduced me to Cambodian food and I love it all! One of my favorite foods and yet it is so slept on. Cambodian culture in general is slept on! My family and the families of my friends are very weary to speak about the Khmer Rouge and I don’t blame them. They suffered a lot but I see them beginning to come back!

  5. Don't believe it all man… Eating "too many" cooked or raw eggs and specially the "balut" while drinking is dangerous. Many Filipino drinkers in the Philippines mistakenly done the same thing and they ended up in the hospital if you're lucky enough or you may ended up dead. Most likely those people with high blood level , be careful man …

Except the fact that I still want to die internally due to stupid trends.
