Boars, pigs, warthogs, and any other breed of boar all evolved from the african creature known as an entelodont. These creature started out as herbivores than quickly switched to meat early in their evolution, these were their ancestors.
By the time entelodont evolved it mainly ate meat.
As time went on and meat became less abundant they switched to a mainly herbivorous diet.
All variations of the boar are scavenging omnivores.
Fact: Any milk drinking animal will nurse off any female who seems willing.

Though the piglets were given to the tiger because she lost all her cubs and was depressed. I really wish humanity was as excepting as these animals.
