A police chase has ended late Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Orange Grove and Holly Street in Pasadena, California, after a long pursuit that started in Bell Gardens.
The grand theft auto suspect stole a work truck and traveled for nearly 45 minutes at a high rate of speed on surface streets in Pasadena, driving on sidewalks and blowing through stop signs and stop lights. At one point, the truck had all four wheels off the ground, with speeds as high as 60 m.p.h.

Amazingly, this van driver turns left into on coming he traffic. He narrowly miss hitting a pedestrian. He jumps out the way just in time. Now the driver can add attempting battery to the charge's. The driver turns right into a parking lot of a drive in movie theatre. At this point the dinosaurs in the back seat pokes his head up thru the roof and the driver pits his 2 small children on top of it, now he's not only endangering his own life bit there life's aswel. The driver totals the car and makes a run for it. Running from the cops…YABBA DABBA DONT!!

I would hold the police Dept. responsible for the injuries sustained in crash. I don't think there should be high speed chases unless the criminal driver is or has committed a crime of a serious nature.
Every time or at least 90% of the ending of these chases end in the involvement of an Uninvolved civilian.
I understand that the police can't just let these guys go every time,But if there is an air unit above let the guy think he's cleared the chase and just hang back follow them to their destination. In this case the drivers life has been forever changed because of the actions of police and suspect driver. Now all you pro chase put yourself in that innocent drivers place. YOur on your way home or maybe it's your child that you sent to get some sugar at the store. Now BAM both her ankles are severed off and her face once beautiful is now nothing but scar tissue after painful grafting surgeries. All because some jack ass stole a $8000 truck. Yeah sucks huh.
