American Strays canine survey volunteer spotter Cathy Gray of Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan (in prison canine rehabilitation program) discovers a terrified and visibly hurt young dog while counting strays in the field as a citizen scientist compiling meaningful stray dog data in the city of Detroit.
Cathy calls for help from the Michigan Humane Society who dispatch Humane Officer Chris Oewerkerk to pick up the stricken pup. This is the story of Penny – the pup who went to prison.

That's amazing God bless you guys for taking both those dogs stop. I would have liked to seen the prisoners that helped train these dogs I think that would be wonderful part of the story
That is amazing because you know you think about these men that are in prison this gives them confidence Nate that is amazing because you know you think about these men that are in prison this gives them confidence. And it also gives them a companion that they love that is there everyday buddy you know and that that you know when you if you love animals then this is a perfect situation and it helps these men I know what they want in their lives because that's real love when you love an animal even though you might have you know if you love an animal and you're not going to be able to keep them but let them go you really love them because you have to so I'm not sure how I feel about this but I think it's good for the men in prison and it helps him have a sum of they can love I don't think it's very long for them to be there and then put into a regular home and taking away from the prisoners I think that makes it even harder on them got so yeah I am I'm concerned about that part of it that's it I think that there's a lot of people in prison today that wish they didn't do what they did I been in prison but you know I'm a sixty-year-old mother my two daughters of growing up great and I have both went to college and you know that I I feel for these people that are in prison that might have committed a crime but it don't make that they meant to commit the crime and they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time or they shouldn't have done what they did. So I think this is a wonderful thing

way Awsome maybe they can help some of those dogs who are in the Turkish dump? They need to be saved as well. Just a thought, hope it could be more. So sad that these poor baby's and any of them has to go through such a horrible life, worse is those who die without love and not ever knowing what happiness is.
