  1. I used to live in an apartment near Seattle. This is probably 25 years ago. Anyways, I went back to college in my late 20s and would work on “homework” — that’s a poor name when you’re at a University as it should be “research” — at my dining room table. I’d keep my door open during summer classes as I tried, and succeeded, in graduating in fewer than four years. Ouch. It almost killed me, that’s for sure. But one day I was sitting there and felt something on my leg. It freaked me out. Looking down, a squirrel had come in and was looking for snacks! So, I looked in the cupboards and — I’m not kidding — found some “Nut ‘N Honey” cereal. That squirrel loved it! It was very funny. So everyday pretty much he came back, into the apartment. And I gave him Nut ‘N Honey cereal. I should do a commercial.

  2. I was walking through the woods to go to my favorite fishing hole with my cat on my shoulders when suddenly he jumped down and stopped, looking up at me. In front of him was a little squirrel, barely opened eyes. I picked it up, put it in my shirt pocket, threw the cat back on my shoulders and continued down to fish. At some point the squirrel crawls out of my pocket, into my shoulder and wraps itself in the cat's tail. A few people walked by and looked at me quite perplexed, for some reason. I fed the squirrel kitten milk replacement and it seemed fine. When I was sleeping or working I kept it in a cage but otherwise I kept it with me. As soon as I opened the cage it would crawl up my arm to my shoulder. One morning I opened the cage and it didn't come out. I looked inside and it wasn't moving. I don't know what happened.

  3. My property is overrun with squirrels. They've destroyed hundreds of dollar's worth of my plants over the years. I know they look cute but to me they're Public Enemy #1 in my books.
