  1. Dear God its stunning how car races were so unsafe back then….no fences, barriers, crowds literally sitting a few feet away…thank God times have changed.

  2. #1, The B-24 was hit by bombs from one of the planes in the same group. The bombardier, if they were using the Norton Bomb Sight then, would actually be flying the plane. The plane went out of formation and was hit by the bombs from a plane over it.
While a tight formation would allow some protection from fighters, it caused some friendly fire incidents.
I learned a lot from my old neighbor. He was a tail gunner on the B-24's. One of the bravest men I ever knew.
We were watching a old news reel, and this clip was in it. He is the one who told me how they used this film to train the crews to recognize if they were straying in any bomb paths, and to alert the crew.

  3. Does anyone else wish they lived in a different time for me it would be the ww2 era idk I feel like u would fit in better fight for my country see the world and marry a girl if my dreams but idk

  4. We can be so grateful that we don’t have to live our life in war… My grandpa always tells me storys of his time in the war I can see that war made him more thankful for his life one thing he does, he would never leave a tiny bit of food on his plate.
