you should try a product called 'Tindercard' it's Swedish made 'green' contains NO petroleum distillates so is safe for junior fire starters to use you can cut it to size I've got 2 pieces credit card size in my wallet. You can also use it like synthetic birch bark scratch it and spark it.

That fire tin thing is nice. Made me think of that stuff inside my Wind proof lighter. I imagine that if you are out of fluid which is usually the case with those lol
You could potentially remove some of the cotten from the inside of your wind proof lighter and use your wheel on your lighter somehow with the flint to get the ball to catch fire.
Not exactly sure how it would work but I bet it could. Its better than have a shitty empty wind proof lighter and no fire at all.

I wear safety type glasses as my sun glasses, cost about the same as sunglasses. Had to wear them for work so it was easier to do then switch. Riding a motor cycle and nothing hits your face, where wear you riding.
