Our Animal Rescue Team worked alongside Camp County sheriff officials and Safe Haven Equine Rescue to help more than 150 horses, mules and donkeys in Camp County, Texas. All of the animals our responders encountered were living in terrible circumstances: some were severely underweight and almost all had skin infections and cracked hooves. Some had eye infections and injuries. Thanks to our Homes for Horses Coalition members and our network of equine rescue partners, these animals have been accepted into rescue organizations where they will continue on the road to recovery and adoption or permanent sanctuary.

At 1:54 looks like my horse buttercup she was in perfect health but when she went to a different person she has gone to really skinny and I didn’t see her when we went by the place she was moved to
Ok so if there was no abuse in this situation it would still be messed up to just put a horse who died of old age or other natural causes in a pit and just forget about it. Give that beautiful animal a proper burial.

Someone must have left a halter on him as a foal until he grew too big for it. Now they show him older, but starved nearly to death. Has that horse ever known anything but suffering?
I hope that his life is the exact opposite from now on!
There is no excuse for this and there is no punishment harsh enough except for torture and a long slow painful death.

I simply do not understand people… No one forced them to get these beautiful horses so if u cant care for them correctly don't get them this isn't rocket science..ugh this makes me so stinking angry. Thanks for the rescue
This story was…….I'm almost speechless. It was sad to see the animals in the conditions that they were in. I grew up on a farm where horses and cattle as well as dogs, cats, ect. were my best friends. Our horses knew when it was feeding time. They whinny and knicker (talk) when they are treated with love and respect. They will show love by running till they drop if you let them. They are trusting beautiful animals that are smarter than most understand. I'm glad that these animals were saved and given the chance to live the remaining days on this earth with love and respect. It makes me sad to think of those that lost that chance and those that are suffering know that won't get that chance. Thank you everyone that was involved in saving these animals. My hope is that people that see animals suffering will speak up. Please remember that we are there voices!! Thank you all for your hard work and that donated there time and money!!✌?? For those lives lost R.I.P.??❤
