Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Fredric March (“The Best Years of Our Lives,” “Anthony Adverse”) won an Oscar as the title character in this classic tale of a determined scientist whose self-experimentation into the nature of evil leads to horrifyingly tragic results. Considered by many to be one of the best adaptations of the Robert Louis Stevenson novel, it received Oscar nominations for Best Writing and Cinematography.   1. Excellent movie those who criticize just don't get it. It's storytelling at its best and great acting… remember they didn't know how to blow up buildings yet in 1932
