If you want to boost the performance for the musical career you should go to theatre or stadium and perform there.The performances with the guitar dont boost your career in a way..it only works for the "star thingie"(dont know how to explain it :D)
The performances in the theatre/stadium can be done at the evening.Basically your sim is performing at a concert 🙂

Wen ur sim retires they get a pension. I got my musical sim to preform in the theatre as the satiam in isa pardiso is also the school. Sorry I can't spell
