Our retriever "Bonnie" was a born miscreant. So many fun times, so many laughs.
Her mother had won Crufts, but somehow that pedigree breeding hadn't really rubbed off on Bonnie.
One of her favourite stunts was to escape out the front door, go over the road into a neighbour's house – 3 children there – go through their house and head for the filthy pond at the bottom of their garden. She'd then come back through their house stinking of goodness knows what – complete with some item of the children's clothing from opposite. Did she do this once? No, it was something she managed to pull off about every 6 months! To be fair, this family thought she was absolutely hilarious and never scolded her. She loved children, she loved ponds!
Pretty well half the clips in this video are things Bonnie used to do. I'd long ago forgotten how she'd eat my Dad's newspaper to get attention!
RIP Bonnie.
