Archibald Belaney was a British man who grew up fascinated with Native American culture — so much so that in the early 1900s he left the United Kingdom for Canada, where he reinvented himself as Archie Grey Owl and lived in the wild as a North American Indian trapper. He eventually became an environmental activist after renouncing trapping and hunting. Grey Owl is based on Belaney’s true story, starring Pierce Brosnan in the title role. In 1934, Archie was living a largely solitary life when he met a young woman named Anahareo (Annie Galipeau), an Ojibway Indian nicknamed Pony. Pony is fascinated by Archie, largely because she wants to know about her people’s heritage. Her father, Jim (Graham Greene), is a businessman who wears a suit to work and has little concern for his history; in Archie, Pony sees a link to her past that she can’t find in her family. Archie has little use for Pony at first, but in time the two begin to bond, and it’s Pony who convinces Archie to give up trapping and work to protect animals. She also encourages Archie to write a book about wilderness life in Canada. The book becomes a huge success and makes Archie something of a celebrity, but with recognition come nagging questions about Archie’s true heritage. (In reality, Archie Grey Owl’s true idenity did not become public knowledge until after his death.)

propaganda! propaganda! It is just another way for the feds to steal our land and keep us from it's resources.
The blood in your veins is the same as all people. The color of your skin makes that of no difference.
Howling Wind of the Ute tribe.
Story of ruth
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I loved this movie! Humans have managed to destroy 40% of the world animal population and maybe more of our forests and water supply! We are the only ones who can stop the genocide?

when all a woman does is scream in a movie scene…she is a bad actress. and she has an even worse director.

Idk what everyone's sound issue is but I heard every word, except in the beginning when Pony said something to the guy on the dock and then he jumped in the lake… That was confusing.
Looks like I'll have to rent the VHS and watch it again!!
'Bond'…Yes!…'Running Bear'…NO!!!!!
This was very interesting . I had never heard of him, I love history and I think I have much In common with pony I'm always searching for ancestral facts
I loved this movie so much. Who cares if he was alcoholic? The point was the nature he fought to preserve. Right?
really wanted to watch this movie, but the sound was so low that it finally drove me to exit.
I really liked this
Very intriguing movie but couldn't watch it cuz couldn't hear it.
A great movie with a great message of love and humanity for generations to come
Thank you , YouTube Movies , this movie really touched my heart .
Real "Indians" are copper colored (negro/ brown)
So are the Hebrews and our enemies the Egyptians/ Kemet
Another woman f___s another man up
But because of the sound issues that I had with this movie I can only give it a number 9 out of 10 star rating because of the sound issues alone
I just watched the movie grey owl this is no doubt in my mind the most beautiful piece of work acting that Pierce Bronson has ever done I truly enjoyed this movie so much so I watched it twice I became the character gray owl I felt every emotion that I am sure that it is time that he felt I have seen and even witnessed what we are doing as a people to our environment Texas is my home state so I was born in Alabama but I will have to say without a doubt that this was probably the most beautiful enjoyable and even entertaining movie I have ever seen I would give this 10 Stars and it would Riley deserve it but because of the usual problems that the YouTube movies have you have to turn it up 2/8 just to hear what they are saying and my home I have a surround sound I had to turn it up to 7 just to hear them talk I would hope and pray that the YouTube people will finally see that these movies that they presented though some of them may be good and very entertaining they need to do something about their volume if not then allow us to turn the volume up so we can hear them but this is a thing that the YouTube Network needs to be aware of for future reference I truly enjoyed this movie and I am going to put it in my favorites to watch later
it's like they whispered all the way thru…can't get it any louder….
God says you must be born again…CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS HE WAS BURIED AND ON THE THIRD DAY HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD IN THE FLESH AND SEEN OF OVER 500 EYEWITNESSES AT ONCE…..REPENT NOW BEFORE ITS TO LATE AND YOU WIND UP IN LAKE OF FIRE…MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES FOREVER IN CHRIST JESUS
Nice movie..excellent acting…well done……was Brosnan ever nominated for academy awards?…….watch him in movie .."the deceivers"
anyone else see the bigfoot lookin thing in background at 3555 to 3600 or so at beaver dam on upper left at backside of pond its pretty clear and moves back away and may be more than one there poss.3 looks like a smaller one to its right in pine boughs
I'm noping out early because shooting a bear in the back when he;s turned to leave is fucked up.
This movie was pleasant
That lead actress is SMOKING HOT ?
Once I see these kinds of "Indian" movies I click them immedietly
The truth is that Belaney was a hardcore alcoholic whose drinking ultimately killed him. Why was this fact omitted from the film? I guess sanitized versions of reality are preferred to actual reality.
Way too many ads
This man didn’t seem to learn that when killing an animal, you have to honor it’s death. There are many ways to do so. He only honored the deer, but not the fox.
The volume is too low..dont like silent films
Right now I m watching this movie with Pierce Bronson on my iPad so I will turn my phone off
This movie was much better than I thought it would be..thanks for sharing
This is a great movie. Right up there with "Dances with Wolves".
