LIVE: Wolf Dog Rescue Sanctuary in Canada | As the popularity of wolfdogs as pets became more popular in Canada, Georgina De Caigny and Andi Scheibenstock identified a need for a knowledgeable and experienced rescue organization that would make the rehabilitation and rehoming of displaced wolfdogs a priority. It was in June of 2011 that Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary opened its doors as not only one of the largest sanctuaries within Canada, but one of the only sanctuaries to balance educational programs with a highly successful adoption program too.

  1. Beautiful and amazing sanctuary!! I grew up with what was called a wolf hybrid, 75% wolf 25% dog..beautiful animals! Incredibly smart animals!! Great job guys! You've got an incredible sanctuary!!!

  2. Thank you for your caring sanctuary. My daughter was given a Wolfson years ago. She was beautiful. But because of the wolf in her, she broke the chain of alpha in my home. She attacked my alpha dog, when I tried to break them apart. She attacked me. After that, I was no longer safe around her. She had tasted my blood as well as my alpha dogs blood. We had to have her put down. She was half wolf half border collie. Her mother was a beautiful wolf. I am of native american indian blood, and I love wolves. I have been around many wolves. They are part of the family. You treat them as another person in the family. Not as a dog. They should never be bred as half dogs. Thank you so much for explaining so much as this.

  3. Very Educational! I'm glad my pittie is easier to manage! I would never have a wolf dog but they are absolutely gorgeous and seem amazing to have a relationship with!

  4. Before starting the video, I was hoping it was entirely what it was…the camera was on them the whole time.

I'm so curious to know if they live like regular dogs in the house, etc. Or do they live indoor/outdoor, outdoor?
