15. We need more sanctuaries like Gentle Barn, there are several others, but we need even more. And we need even more good hearted folks who adopt them as pets and treat them well, we don't have enough of them yet either. Lambs, sheep, pigs, and cows are happy, simple, peaceful, playful, and affectionate naturally by nature, and they will stay that way unless they've been kept somewhere where they've been neglected, mistreated, and are being sent to slaughter, and they then understandably become wary and frightened, and if endured in it too long, traumatized. They will remain their good natural happy, playful, loving, and affectionate characteristics and feelings as long as they are somewhere where they are getting treated with kindness, and are made to feel loved and safe. We need more sanctuaries and anyone else who's willing to take them and treat them in the way they deserve

20. This happens everyday to every dairy cow. Their babies are taken from them and males sent to slaughter at only a few days old. Mothers cry for weeks mourning their babies.

29. 6 month old bull calf. Not a baby. Usually taken from the cow around this stage to stop the bull from becoming the sire of its half sibling.

32. The comments made me so happy. I’m so blessed to live in a time in which morals are aligning with our actions! This sort of thing happens to every dairy cow so people can have a cheese pizza. Makes me sick thinking about what we do to a whole life just for a sandwich and a milkshake. But we are waking up ??
