SYNOPSIS: Based on true events, Lakshmi is a story of heroism and untold courage. Lakshmi, a 13 year old girl is kidnapped and sold into prostitution. Thrown into this horrific, inhuman world where she is raped and brutally beaten she barely survives with the help of the other girls and her own will to never give in. Finally she is rescued in a police raid. Against all odds, Lakshmi shows courage where everybody else fails. Resisting all pressure – violent threats, coercion and bribes, she stands up in court and in a landmark case in India, succeeds in putting the traffickers behind bars.

Best films are always underrated…Nd this film is especially underrated because itz based on the true reality of corruptions in India..I feel ashamed as a citizen of India..Because India is on peak for all corruptions in this 21st century..I knw nw sme people wl diskike my cmnt as bcoz i m spkng against the laws of my country…Bt I dnt care..Because Indian law is still so improper..I dnt understand y punishment is so easy..Those f* should be hanged!..Nd brutally tortured!..Jst as in foreign countries law is too strict!
So evils dnt dare to committ crimes much!..People just find interest in all vulgar movies..Because they r nt aware of anythng until or unless it hits their own back..So they dnt rate such movies..This movie is an underrated gem! ?
