TWO enormous hippos battle it out in an epic dispute to protect their new born babies. This brutal fight between two male hippos in South Africa’s iSimangaliso Wetland Park was captured by nature guide, Stacey Farrell at the end of a long safari tour. Known to be the most dangerous mammal in Africa, hippos have incredibly short tempers and will often fight to the death.

Hippo Story ~ I took my Little girls to the National Zoo in DC the year before they transferred the one remaining Hippo to Florida. While looking at the hippo he popped his rear out of his pool and up against the gate barrier. Everyone was ooooing and awing when I suddenly took of running with my kids. Everyone turned to see what I was doing while this Hippo pushed a huge beach ball of poop out and took its stick like tail and flicked it on everyone and their strollers. Around 25 people and small kids covered. Felt bad for them but gosh I still laugh thinking about the look on their faces. I watch national geographics and new what that boy was up to.
Wow. I swear I saw these same hippos fighting in Walmart the other day.
