SAVING MERCEDES
Mercedes has been dragging on her hind legs since May. She was rescued last August in Batangas and brought to our vet in Paranaque by Benz Adriano.
For months she tried to survive until reported to us for rescue by Renei Perez-Garcia, already weak, her wounds were filled with maggots and rotting.
Her infection was so high she was on the verge of sepsis and almost dying. She had previous injuries and bone deformations. There is a broken rib protruding from her side.
Her spine is crooked and deformed.
Her blood levels were so low and needed blood transfusion.
She was confined and treated for more than two months at Peralta Veterinary Center.
The good vets allowed me to take her home and continue medications even if I havent paid her full vet bills.
A wheelchair was donated by Gail Gordana and Samira Orchard.
Liza Chefitness is opening her home for Mercedes.
We still have remaining vet bills and people to pay for downpayment and meds/supplies.
She is well on her way to recovery.
Please help Mercedes. I will write as simply as possible sans the drama effects and pitiful story.
