Amazing Volcanic Lightning! The active Taal Volcano in the Philippines violently erupted on Sunday, launching ash and steam several km high in the atmosphere, causing ash fall in surrounding heavily populated areas. Two volcanic earthquakes of magnitudes 2.5 and 3.9 were felt in Tagaytay City and Alitagtag, Batangas. This is likely a precursor to more violent eruptions in the next few days.
