If everyone saw this, no one would ever buy a dog at a pet store.

  1. If you must get a dog from a Breeder then please do your research. There are good breeders out there. It’s best to adopt from a shelter but there are special circumstances where buying a dog from a Breeder makes sense.

  2. Okay, here’s the thing. NOT ALL BREEDERS ARE THE SAME. WHY CAN’T YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND. Yes, petland is known for being a HORRIBLE dog breeding store, but don’t say that all breeded dogs come from bad places.

  3. There used to be a pet land near where I live, and I always thought it was strange that they had puppies. I wrongly assumed they were from shelters and just on display to help them get adopted. I'm really glad they didn't last long and were shut down.

  4. Thank you for listing Petland as one of the top offenders, buying puppies from horror shows of breeders. The next county over, Sarasota FL outlawed the sale of dogs from these commercial breeders and Petland, who had a store in the county started raising a ruckus that they don't fall under that law. Long legal battles ensued, it looked like Petland was probably going to lose, so they relocated the store to our county, Manatee. So now they have two stores in our county. The sound you hear is me gagging. On October 31 the idea of regulating the sale of puppies is going to be brought up in front of the County Commissioners, again . Last time most got cold feet about this issue and voted the regulations down. I am planning to speak and tell how I am targeted for commercials showing mother dogs and cute puppies romping through thick fields of grass, which of course is ridiculous because the mothers would run away, but that is beside the point. If they move their store to a county who is not regulating them, and they target dog interested people with totally misleading adds, then I hope they are forced to stop selling puppies. These people have NO MORALS of any kind.

  5. Dude that’s just mean really they are puppy’s ! They just want to live ! Not be breeding machines ! Sadly I can’t adopt dogs because of several allergies I have and because I live on a apartement if I want to get a dog I have to get em from breeders ?

  6. this is what corrupt government leads to. those large pet store chains and such who make millions every year lobby congress to make sure that these regulations never get changed. or worse yet the end up repealing those regulation entirely and just tell us to "trust that the market will self regulate" and then the dogs suffer. Never shop always adopt is great and all…and make sure you do that. but we need to pressure our representatives (lol what a joke that name is) into passing laws that will protect these dogs and will force breeders of dogs to be humaine with their pens and standards when it comes to the breeding and care of these Momma dogs and the puppies. So go on and call your Senator and representatives and ask about how they feel about puppy mills and if they know about the inhumane conditions and treatment of the animals in there. And if able record the calls (make sure to check applicaple laws about record calls first)
That way if a polition ever says something stupid like "i dont really care, or there is more important issues than puppy mills" you can put them on blast.

  7. Please adopt from your local shelter and put breeders out of business. There are millions of loving animals in the shelters that are in desperate need of a home. Breeders are making the situation even worse just to try to turn a buck.

  8. Please don’t buy from stores, buy from breeders that will let you go to their breeding site, or atleast show you the conditions the pet is in 🙂

  9. DOES UR HEARTS HURTS BECAUSE MY HURTS REALLY BAD IT MAKES ME PUKE WHICH I DID IN THE END BUT I'M GLAD THERE SOME FEW WHO LOVE ANIMALS VERY MUCH LIKE ME B/C ANIMALS ARE MY TRUE FRIENDS AND FAMILY.. . THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH ???????❤♥❤♥❤♥❤❤❤❤❤???

  10. i will always adopt from a pound/no ones home or puppy mill/cause as far as im concerned if you repeatedly mate your yorkie at home more then one litter you are a small puppy mill//you can believe i would never buy from that//no way//

  11. I dont care if y'all think I'm over reacting, but those mf should be sent to prison, in a cramped cage, and given one meal a week. Let those bastards rot in jail, just so they realize the pain those poor animals experienced.

  12. The sad part about this is that the people who make these stupid laws own a pet if not them their families do and then they turn a blind eye to puppy mills. Hypocrisy at it’s best.

  13. India use to sell dogs there's alot of places where we can buy them, I am Indian and I think we need to stop selling dogs like as they are some kind of products.

  14. There are great, perfectly beautiful, wonderful dogs at shelters and rescues so keep that in mind. If you MUST have a pure bred dog, you have to do the work and research. You have to go see the breeders and be allowed to see ALL the various kennels the dogs are being kept in, not just your particular dog. Check out the parents and grandparents. Look at the siblings. Spend some time with the pup you hope to buy. You are spending your hard earned money on a living being who will become part of your life so be careful BEFORE you commit to buy. Make sure you get a contract too that states exactly what the breeder will be responsible for should the pup you buy get sick or have some other birth defect or something. Call people who have bought dogs from that breeder too.
