
It goes without saying that firefighters have a dangerous job. They risk their lives to protect their communities and help prevent devastation—though many brush it off and say it’s all part of the gig. But every once in a while, there comes along a relatively mundane task that ends up surprising them.
In such an unpredictable field, no two days are ever the same. One day they’re putting out a blazing house fire, and the next, they’re assisting a family in an emergency. They truly never know what they’re in for, and this was something the brave men and women of the Colorado Springs Fire Department realized firsthand recently.
In March, these firefighters were tasked with rescuing a litter of puppies from a storm drain. No big deal, right? They perform rescues all the time, and animals often got themselves into tight spaces. But this would be no ordinary rescue…

They look kinda like otters, not foxes….
The first pictures of those creatures are indeed canines, the later picture was of foxes. This is so typical of these new kinds of video with it's computer generated voice. Good grief, do people really not know the difference?
