David Attenborough reflects on several times he followed lion prides at night in the grasslands of Africa. Their roars sent tingles down his spine and seeing lions hunting down prey at night is a sight to be behold. Subscribe: http://bit.ly/BBCEarthSub

03:45 the lioness be like
“y’all be fighting over the meat from that side meanwhile i’ll be right here enjoying the delicacy of it’s trunk”
The Common denominator in all wild animals documentaries is “ The Land Rover” the best 4x4xfar….
What an old fraud Attenborough is.
Scared the hell out of me and D A was lucky wasn’t eaten in the dark
why would you go out there without infrared goggles
I like the vid but do not see the point in this experiment..cruel
Really bad idea to be out in the middle of nowhere without the use of night vision goggles….to help you see just what was really going on.
Why be in a vehicle without a door?
They should have kept rolling
Holy shit that's a big pride
Is David Attenborough immortal? Dude has been the same age for decades!
I wish the pack of lion would've mauled Attenborough to death.
I hope this place will be the same in 2020 but sad to say almost all trees are gone and even the tall grasses are gone
Sir David is a great hero!
That was a baby elephant though
Dumb lions, with food so close-by! ?
The Lions we're ready for beef
IT TOOK 20 LIONS TO BRING DOWN ONE ? ONE ON ONE A ? WOULD GET KILLED
Something strange in my neighborhood who I'm gunna call::: David attenborough. A box. Powerful beasts. Awesome footage. Wow never saw a takedown of an ellie. Ty
Bs. Was not a full adult elephant.
The reason the Lions did not get close to him in the Jeep is because they could not smell anything because the driver shit his pants, they were so close.
Mighty Tiger alone would have killed the elephant and lion pride.
David looks way too close to the lions…. crazy
0:16 is it just me , or is that maybe not the best idea…
Why do they keep editing tiger roars in
This guy has grey balls of steel
The music is brilliant
Bringing down an elephant of that size seems impossible even if you factor in the number of lions in the hunt. Sapping an elephant's energy is one thing, but the two 'kill shots' for lions are the neck clamp and muzzle clamp.
Against an elephant, the muzzle clamp is impossible. Clamping the trunk leaves the elephant free to breathe through its mouth. The neck clamp, while not impossible, is definitely harder to achieve on an elephant than just about any other mammal.
Why the hell was that elephant going on a midnight jog by herself like that? Street smarts!
Lion: "Man turn that crap off, we're tired!"
I always feel sad when elephants get killed. Where the hell was its family ???
His voice travels the serengeti and all the way to the deep blue
Legendary David Athenburg ????
0:23 when somebody says "Kobe is better than Jordan" in the middle of Chicago…
and yes, the number of seconds for that to happen is ironic.
It's a baby elephant
Meanwhile in the Human Madhouse:
'All men are equal brothers'
'Toil, Taxes, Usury is freedom'
'Race, Gender are social concepts'
'Being white (of lionine blood) is evil'
'Poverty, Sickness, Celibacy are celebrated'

Plot twist. Because of the lights too it helped all the lions to see that elephant very clear.
Am I the only one that wonders “ what if the engine stalls?”
a beautiful green plain grasses … suddenly my god how many of them ???
A pride of 30 lions?! Jesus Christ
Till this day I still believe the film crew baited the elephant into this pride to capture this on purpose.
*Land Cruiser 0:43
Elephant was disobedient towards the other elephants and got his ass ate
Why can't I see the entire episode????????
