  1. I dont think Hurricane Mitch is counted in… Extreme weather deaths from 1998 don't match up with the 11,000 death minimum for Mitch.

Also, extreme weather is missing 2,000 deaths off the bat: The Great Galveston Hurricane of 1900 killed 8,000 people, not 6,000.

  2. Famine still killing in poor countries like Haiti, Brazil, Venezuela, Congo and Bangladesh
Flood kills hundreds in Southeast Asia
Earthquakes kills in Chile, Mexico and Haiti
Weather, Hurricanes and Tornados, kills alot in Kansas, Oklahoma, PR, northern Texas and Caribbean

  3. The rapid rise in extreme temperature deaths is shocking. One would think it would slow considerably as time went on due to increased wealth and technology improvements in textiles, insulation, communication, medicine and engineering.

  4. Famine by way of drought……… what does this animation say to you?
Drought is only a single cause of famine. Famine can occur from many other factors we just don’t know about it because only 1 % of the population are constantly fighting off famine every minute of everyday since forever till whenever for all of us. Thank a farmer if you come across one you’d be surprised how far that gesture would go.
