Stop building houses so fucking close to rivers etc…. all the flooded houses are human error. I understand houses are in demand and location of said houses are difficult in some areas due to massive amounts of excavation needed, but near me ATM local councils and people of power are seriously considering new housing estates being build very near if not on flood plains. I mean come on people…. spend some more money on much more suitable and safer locations for these homes, because you’ll be spending the extra money in the long run anyway on flood insurance claims and relocation of people when in does flood. It might be considered cheap housing now but just remember that Mother Nature doesn’t give a fuck how many people’s lives get turned upside down when she decides to have a tantrum.
