Yesterday after a cloudburst triggered a flash flood in Uttarakhand’s pauri district’ RAATH CHETRA, rescue operations are still underway, officials said on Wednesday. Inclement weather and tough terrain in kandarsyu was hampering the operation, they said.
The officials feared the death toll might rise. So far 3persons have died and more than 30, including fww herd of cattles are missing. Rescuers fear that if the missing have been washed away into the flooded river, chances of their survival are remote. The Shashastra Seem Lal and the Indo-Tibetian Border Police are involved in the rescue operations.
