  1. They shouldn't be driving in those treacherous conditions, and especially at night.
But, thanks to those 2 heroes rescuing the boy, he survived.

  2. Caleb is not very articulate now is he? And the dad forgot to thank the real heroes, those 2 guys who got his son out of the car. Jeez dad, wake up!

  3. This makes me think of all the millions of folks doctors gave up on, who could of been rehabilitated and it shows their is nothing like someone who cares for you unconditionally. Because they'll fight with you to the end. But folks in a certain field are basically just doing their jobs with no regrets, so that's the sad truth.

  4. Well put together, except for the annoying numerous repeats of how the incident began. Do they think the people watching have short term memory problems?

  5. Hypothermia slows the metabolism, brain and heart function, so it can withstand no oxygen for over an hour compared to 4-10 minutes when body temperature is at 98°. As long as they start resuscitation while the body is still cold, and slowly warm it, the chances of survival are good. David Samuels, 63, lay overnight, body temp was 75°, was blue, cold, and near dead. Doctors used a special machine to warm him, and he walked away without injury. It's astounding what our bodies are capable of.

  6. Good stories and actors but they are too drawn out. 30 to 35 minutes vs 50 to 60 would be long enough. Sometimes more isn't better.

  7. sorry but I think his friend wasn't the hero but the 2 guys who went down & got his seatbelt off & pulled him out & started cpr…I feel his friend even for 2 more seconds should've seen if he could've taken his seatbelt off for him..I know he was running out of air or ran out of air, but it could've been a life changer if he could've gotten his seatbelt off & then he could've gone up himself & they both could've gone up together…..also for them to say brain dead & asap take off life support & donate organs from a boy LIVING instead, that's so disgusting!! I wonder how many others have been taking off life support when they could've been living right this minute instead of 6 feet under! & I wonder if the mom DIDN'T feel his squeeze her hand when she called his name, if she would've had a different answer to taking off life support if she trusted the doctos diagnosist…………

  8. It was an accident waiting to happen!, Experienced adult driver allows inexperienced young boy to drive on an icy road under treacherous conditions. What could possibly go wrong?

  9. That kid making it up that embankment after being in a rolled car, submerged in ice water, and having hypothermia, is just amazing. ''they're not dead until they are warm and dead'' with hypothermia. This paramedic should know that. p.s That freaking ''brain dead'' doctor needs to RETIRE.

  10. Omg i can feel myself when i was injured in 2011 squizing my mom hand make a peace sign to my friend being unconscious….just goosebumps and his friend is truly a hero. But nothing can help then your own mom!!

  11. Praise the Lord! The boys learned something, so did everyone it seems, I bet Caleb visited Heaven and comes back. Faith – have faith!

  12. And the first car that he tried to flag down would not stop, what a shame on humanity. How would a sane person do that? I know what it means to drive in such conditions and I remember me and my daughter had to go and rescue a guy who had hit the curb and gotten stuck in winter storm (in Canada). We did not care about anything else that time, just where there to help a fellow human being.

  13. Kids, this is a rare scenario. Seatbelts save appx. 15,000 lives per year and would save many more if people used them. Teens are usually the ones who don’t buckle up. Your odds of surviving a crash increase tenfold when you wear one.
