An enduring symbol of wilderness and power, bears have existed in North America for over 27 million years. With weights up to 500 pounds, black bears are a formidable predator, however they will eat a variety of foods from berries to insects.
Black Bears are one of 150 species explored in Finley-Holiday’s “National Park Animals for Kids DVD.” Filmed entirely in the national parks by renown nature videographer Russ Finley, the DVD explores 6 classes of animals: mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, insects and spiders (aka bugs) in over 2 hours of video.
Available on location at America’s National Parks and at finleyholiday.com.
