INSANE video from inside the powerful Aurora, Nebraska tornado on June 17, 2009. The tornado intensified right on top of the TornadoVideos.net SRV Dominator, and the window was blown out as an intense mini suction vortex passed over the vehicle. A 138.8 mph wind gust was measured by the roof anemometer as the window blow out. Check out Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel this Fall for the video of the glass slamming into our faces.

  1. With What you guys are doing, it would be TOTALLY OKAY to 'not look cool' and wear some goggles made of lexan/polycarbonate… protecting your eyes properly..because permanent eye damage is WWWAAAYYYY less cool and besides being potentially blind, it would be career ending and 'way of life' ending on top of everything else. You guys are doing incredible science as well and shouldn't risk it — thus ensuring you can do what you are passionate about AND grab RARE and INCEST data for years to come!! (Regardless of if your vehicle has better windows…like polycarbonate or multi layer laminated glass, etc.. gotta be a way to do that — I know this is from 2009 and not 2020, but still — a lot of people care about you guys and your work ????)

  2. The videos are recommended based on things you were previously watching. It may even come up in "other" genre that is somehow related to it.
