We only laugh when they are backing the boat in. Once in the water, it's serious. From WA state.
It appears that there’s a common belief that one can power their way through a sand bar. If seen aluminum props worn to a nub by sand, one hell of an abrasive.
Even if they made it through, they would have a much smaller diameter prop. Then they would wonder why the boat is so much slower.
Running your motor on a sandbar is giving your engine a Sahara Desert bore job ! Cooling system, that is. It's burnt toast.
I guess a boating rules is just sit back, mock and laugh at people who get stuck on sandbars instead of helping them out.
Seems to me that some of these boaters are not doing it right.

We saw a guy stuck out in the bay with a dead motor, I didn't think once about filming him let alone laughing about it. We towed him in!
I wonder if these people know when they throttle it on a sandbar it pushes sand microparticles and large grains through their engine cooling system… I’d rather get out and push then buy essentially a whole water cooling system and the things that connect to it
Boat owners, for the most part, arrogant assholes, laughing at other boaters like it’s a damn comedy show.

Life must be so boring when you decide just to stare, record, plus comment on the misfortune of another boater stuck on some sand. 3:30 . Does that make you guys feel superior all of a sudden.
Don’t feel bad about boat plowing the bottom. Super-sized vessels of greater than 35’ draught routinely plow NY harbor before scheduled dredging by Corps of Engineers starts. If you’re sensitive to your small boat, sometimes you can do a quick course reversal and sail/motor free.

I wonder why the sailing yacht sank? I also reckon that if the guy on the sand bar went astern, he would float in the hole he excavated, then turn towards the camera and he could motor free.
