We were doing a night march, up a very steep hill. It started to rain. And rain harder. And harder. Within minutes, we could hear our point yelling, "Get off the path!" Our squad separated just in time for a deluge of water to go thundering down the hill. The river formed within minutes and lasted for about an hour, once the rain tapered-off. Dangerous stuff.
