We had to pay lots of money for people to give up these clips as they feared they would be ridiculed if found out. These are chilling to the core, an insight into the afterlife and the restless spirits of people walking the earth here.

1. Sarah Ware Ghost Bucksport, Maine – Jan 2017
This footage was shot by CCTV close to the last known location of Sarah Ware who disappeared and was found murdered not far from where this was shot. The figure is believed to be that of Sarah Ware, searching for justice as her murderer was never found. The owner of the CCTV said that everything would go still and quiet at certain unexpected times of the night, with not a bird or dog to be heard in the locale. The last time it went so still he checked his CCTV recording and was amazed to find this.
2. Michigan Store Ghost – May 2014
We obtained this footage from the owner of the store in Michigan. For his privacy we have not divulged its full location, however, the forecourt was the scene of a lovers tiff where an estranged wife shot her husband dead in the 1950s. Customers had reported a cold spot going into the store that they put down to a draught. However, when checking the CCTV to locate a shop-lifter who had left the shop, the owner was amazed to see the figure, whom he believes is the murdered husband taking his last trip out of the store where he’d been buying flowers for his mistress.
3. Bucharest Motorway Ghost – Date Unknown
A contact in the Romanian Police Force came forward with this dashcam footage from a routine stop in Bucharest. This stretch of motorway is notorious for pedestrian deaths as it stands between a large residential area and a number of popular bars. On reviewing the footage the officer was shocked to see what he believes is the spirit of one of those pedestrians that didn’t make it.
4. The Grey Lady, York UK – January 2013
This sighting of York’s famous Grey Lady happened at the back entrance of the Georgian Theatre Royal, where she is often seen wandering. The theatre’s management reluctantly released this footage in case it put actors off arriving via the back gate. The Grey Lady is not thought to be harmful, but a lost soul looking to help those in need.
5. May Hawes? Birmingham East Lake, Alabama – May 2014
Pamela and Darren Paxton loved their new lakeside apartment, with all the mod cons it was their dream home. When their child Nancy started talking to space they put it down to her imagination growing. However, their dad left the camera running to catch his daughter playing and was startled to see that his daughter wasn’t alone. He believes it to be the presence of May Hawes who was killed in the 1890s and her body hidden in the lake. Locals believe she wanders the shore looking for her mother, but it seems now that she has a new friend to make her less lonely. It wasn’t to last, shortly after this footage was shot, the Paxton’s moved away, chilled by what they had seen.
6. Gérard De Nerval, Paris France – January 2015
Another police dashcam footage. This is a crossing used by many to reach the Théâtre de la Ville where the haunted spirit of the romantic poet Gérard De Nerval is said to linger following his grisly suicide. The office said he often stopped here to monitor the traffic, and caught something out of the corner of his eye that he couldn’t shake. When he played back the footage he was shocked at what he saw, and had no other explanation other than it was Gérard De Nerval on his way once more to take his life.
