Large tornadoes ripped through parts of Missouri and Illinois on Tuesday, tearing across farmland and knocking down trees. Film footage posted on TornadoVideos.net showed debris flying as a tornado touched down in a field in Bowling Green, Missouri. Similar footage was shot in Carlinville, Illinois. No injuries were reported from the storms. Strong thunderstorms also battered the region and another round of severe weather is predicted for later this week. Utility crews are scrambling to restore power to tens of thousands of customers in Illinois affected by severe storms that included reports of tornadoes.
