Destructive flash flood rips down Appalachians through Pisgah National Forest in Balsam Grove, North Carolina after a foot of rainfall from Tropical Depression Fred. This flash flood swamped homes and vehicles along the North Fork French Broad River and prompted numerous swift water rescues. The vehicle pictured in this video was unable to be reached by firefighters with the extreme conditions. Hopefully the occupants were able to crawl to safety before the flash flood got too violent.
