I live with roommates and some I can say their brains are fried from doing too much pot and don't have the power to reason. One minute they say one thing, then the next minute they are contradicting themselves. I learned to keep my distance, show them respect, and carefully and slowly help them reason with every day examples: One of them started arguing with me that animals and humans are equal. I asked him "Who would you save from rushing waters, your sister or your dog?" He took about half a second to respond and said: "my sister". Well that half a second it took you to respond could mean life-or-death for your sister.
