Here the exact same snake appears to be the predator in two different YouTube rescue videos—it has distinctive dots on the side of its face and dark scale staining by its mouth, says Neil D’Cruze,a herpetologist and the global head of wildlife research for the advocacy group World Animal Protection.Foeke Postma, a Bellingcat investigator and trainer, says he suspects that “based on some details in the videos and mountain ranges,” they were made near Tuk Meas Khang Lech, a rural area in the southern part of Cambodia.
