  1. …ah, Tiger Sharks are stated to be the 2nd behind Great Whites in attacking humans, this particular Tiger Shark might be friendly, but are you going to be trusting all of them to act like this? You have got big brass balls….

  2. Outstanding, every time the diver made contact with Emma's head she would roll her eyes upward as if in ecstasy???This Shark knows you it's incredible!!!

  3. Great video and thank you Jim for being an advocate for these beautiful creatures. Just to let him and others who have a deep understanding of the species, I did my part in shark conservation by refusing to eat Shark Fin soup that was offered to me during a business dinner with customers while at a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Chinese restaurant. I didn't hold anything back and respectfully told them how I felt about the devastation of the species, all for a vanity plate and greed.

I recently wrote my U.S. Senator and asked her if there is something more we could do to discourage China from launching huge fishing fleets that prey on Sharks just for their fins. To make matters worst, many of the sharks are still alive after having their dorsal or other fins cut off and subsequently drown because they cannot get water to flow over their gills. Sharks are a very important element in our ocean ecosystem and since they are a top predator, eradicating the species will cause a widespread collapse of our ocean's health.

I relate the Shark's predicament to what happened to the American Bison back in the 1870-1880s. In a short ten years, Americans almost drove the Buffalo to extinction. We slaughtered them by the thousands where millions used to roam, killing them just for the thrill of it and also as a means during the Indian Wars to deprive Native Americans of their most important food source. If not for a group of people who recognized the species were on the brink of extinction, the Buffalo would have been no more in the 1880s. These heroes located some small herds outside of Yellowstone and started a conservation and recovery program that ultimately saved them from human to animal genocide. It was quite a miraculous undertaking and I thank those people for the good they performed very long ago.
