This video still did not explain when the pilot pressed R that the closest and correct waypoint did not show up at the top (and not at all). What caused that?
I think the computer had way too many options without complete names of these places, and the captain just didn't understand computers as well. Pretty sure he had a senior moment that all but 3 paid for.
Lol @ all the "we fkd up" remarks
Blame ANYONE you want, but for me, it's airport/ATC at fault for not having radar at an operational airport.
This cost too many lives. 😌
my gosh. i literally cried when i heard the girl calling her dad.
6:32 Isnt she a bit too old for him?
They could have just used GOOGLE MAPS OR WAZE
JoNAS PERPETA 2o DE MAio🙇🙋🙏🙌👐😏
I'm always nervous while flying. In the back of my mind I'm like " what if we crashed and no one survived " it's not a good feeling.
I don’t agree with the survivor at the end, I understand she lost people and there were so many lost. But there was a mistake made and humans make mistakes. They didn’t willfully make mistakes. The end came when he those he entered Roso and didn’t. Everything else was caused by that mistake
Landing a plane without a Radar?, you gotta be kidding me!
It only takes a second to spell out disaster
Whenever I’m on air plane ✈️, I always knew my faith is hanged on God.
I shed tears looking at that little daughter with blood on her face .
My sincere condolence to families of the dead
Wouldn’t radar have helped a great deal?
Yeah, completely ignore the absence of a radar at an international airport surrounded by high mountains and blame the pilots instead.
I love these shows and I don’t mind flying either
In most cases I wouldn’t want someone to spoil the ending but in this case, I am so glad to see passengers being interviewed. Though many people didn’t survive which is always heartbreaking.
I have been watching WAY too many of these…. I literally thought "At least it was over in 60 seconds vs minutes/hours like others." Its horrific either way…
This happened on my 8th birthday…. Dec 20
WHY, IF YOU KNOW YOUR RADAR WAS BLOWN UP WOULD YOU ALLOW FLIGHTS ANYWHERE NEAR THERE!!!!
Another crime of the narcoterrorist organization FARC. Destroying not only the radar station, power, but all the radio guides along the route, caused this horrible accident. There is no peace in Colombia with the FARC peace agreement. They continue to do this kind of thing today!
man im shocked anyone survived that.
Why did the plane even leave to an airport without a radar…
No bloody radar
2:30 why did that guy push the other guy ?😑
Nice 👌 documentary rest (:🙏:)in peace everyone got kill in the accident 😢
👉•••••••••••too•••••••sad••••••••••••••••👈
Naw it’s because of those Insurgence that destroy the radio tower
I will say I enjoy the f-bombs we wouldn’t get in an American documentary lol
How the hell can an airport surrounded by mountains operate without radar? And from the video the ATC didn’t tell the pilots they had no radar. This was a disaster waiting to happen.
And seriously the military had no night vision.
No radar??? WTF
The amount of commercial on this one is far over 9000
They never mentioned the hurry up and "get there itis" that came into play. They were at least 3 hours behind schedule and the crew wanted to get there so they could make the return leg on time the following morning. That had to have come into play in some regard.
They had no right to fly with out radar
I'll never ride a plane
My first ever flight was to Las Vegas a few years ago, and when we landed my sister and I clapped and cheered and everyone looked at us funny so I cheered louder and said “just because we didn’t experience something scary doesn’t mean we don’t cheer for arriving safely! Thank you to the pilots!” I don’t care if people rolled their eyes at me. I was thankful. 🥰 disasters happen. We should applaud the successes too. Because terrible things do happen. Tragic things happen. Things like this video. Be thankful! Grateful!
ummm maybe a very bad crashes if I was on American Airlines flight 965
That old pilot reminds of Joe Biden. No wonder the plane crashed. America next.
How is the air traffic controller not in freaking prison!?!? Just wow. To not properly inform the pilot you don't have radar?? How does he sleep at night?? Every single lost life is on him.
WOW. JUST WOW.
This is a sad story, 2 experienced pilots that had gotten too comfortable with allowing procedures to be overlooked because they think there is no possible way that the wrong coordinates could of been entered into the navigation system and by the time they did realize it they had crossed a threshold that couldn’t be corrected. The procedure calls for both pilots to verify the correct information was being entered.
Maybe you shouldn’t ride planes or boats maybe ride a stupid train like choo-choo
i loved it
nice video
