Every day in the wild is life or death for the animals who live there. A split-second can mean the difference between escaping unscathed or being eaten on the spot by a predator. From lions and cheetahs to rock pythons and crocodiles, here we see the moments when animals manage to escape certain death by the skin of their teeth. Some escape by being too fast for their predators, others use smarts and their friends to remain safe – but either way, the predators go hungry for another day, and their prey live to see another sunrise.
