Sucessfull civil defence and Red Cross planning ensured that 700,000 people were evacued to emergency shelters in time. Search-and-rescue and emergency health-care plans swung into action.

Teacher I saw many natural disasters on the internet. it's really complicated, I saw thunderstorms with lightning, floods. The city was damaged because of the thunderstorms.
1) Floods and landslides in Colombia.
2) It was heavy raining.
3) About 1,000 people had been evacuated to nearby shelters.
4) At least 78 people have been killed because the river burst triggering the landslide. It has damage houses of more than 500 people.
5) The reporter didn't tell about people injured, I think lots of them was injured though.
6) Colombia president has declared state of emergency at the five Colombia's states.

It talks about Hurricane Katrina that hit New Orleans causing a big flood. It was rainy and there were very strong winds. Many people died and those who survived had to move to others places in the U.S though, there were some people who decided to stay in place until the attempted reconstruction that would be there.
Fala do Furacão Katrina que atingiu Nova Orleães causando uma grande inundação. Estava chovendo e havia ventos muito fortes. Muitas pessoas morreram e as que sobreviveram tiveram que se mudar para outros lugares nos E.U.A no entanto, houve algumas que decidiram ficar no local até a tentativa de reconstrução que haveria alí.

This disaster happened in the city of Vera,Almeria.
