A dog in Lawrenceville, Georgia, became an unlikely hero earlier this summer when he alerted his owner to a kitten that was trapped inside a coiled hose.
The dog’s owner, Josue Flores Quintanilla, captured the rescue on camera and shared it on TikTok on June 16.
Rex, the dog in question, had been barking at the hose for a while when Flores Quintanilla decided to see what all the fuss was about. He unraveled the hose and shook it to reveal a small gray kitten.
Flores Quintanilla said he quickly brought the cat inside after Rex tried to bite her. He cared for the kitten, which soon became acquainted with his own cat, Bobby, he said.
