Recovery efforts continue after dozens of tornadoes wreaked destruction across at least six states, including Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee. The deadly wave of twisters touched down in the middle of the night Friday. NBC’s Kate Snow reports from a devastated downtown Mayfield, Kentucky for Sunday TODAY.

Why do people live in tornado alleys? It causes massive destruction and
leaves the taxpayer on the hook when it strikes. Instead of moving out

I must say that the old courthouse stood its ground. Even the windows were still intact. Although the wooden dome and some bricks that it was anchored to were destroyed. They don’t build like that anymore. Hopefully they won’t let this make them double down on rebuilding again with flimsy metal and wood construction styles. Sadly This town is probably done for considering how the USA’s economy has one foot in the grave.
