Smart GREAT DOG! Waves can sweep you out before you realize what is happening. I know. I was a small child like her and was swept out and under. And I wasn't even in the water. My stepdad dove and could grab my long hair. Only way I made it.

My dog did this to a little girl getting too out of control playing in the water, She ( my dog) got concerned when the little girl's head went under. My dog noticed this before the girl's parent did! No real danger but my dog was ready!

Chow chows have been handed an unfairly bad reputation as being aggressive and mean. They're loving and protective animals, but to those that love and respect them as well.
