20. What's really terrifying is how so many people don't realize how close they were to disaster. Or maybe it's shock; "Grab the board!". No, dude. You could die, leave the board.

31. Not ocean but growing up in Michigan 20 minutes from the beach I forget that some of the safety things that are talked about is not common knowledge. Most of the time it's the rift and wave things because lake Michigan can be fine one minute the next it is taking you in.

38. 17:05….I am assuming the number on the card that the lifeguard called was some sort of a medical emergency card with the son's medical info.

    As a mom to an autistic kid who is non-verbal….that scenario would always be my worst nightmare….my kid alone and a little lost….

    Thank you for the gentle handling of the whole situation. Not telling the son about his mom's condition was a good move as you can not predict how he would react in such a stressful situation. We don't want him to hurt himself or others (paramedics, lifeguards, etc) who were trying to help his Mom.

39. You guys should do educational videos too! How to get on the board, rips, anything you'd want us to know about bondi beach. I live in Michigan and I'll tell you there are no lifeguards here in my area on the beach. You'd think they'd teach us this stuff in school since we are surrounded by lakes with insane rips and waves but they didn't. I'd totally donate to the making of that series.

40. I'm so confused as to why someone who CAN'T swim will go that far out and not have a life vest on… Just wondering, I'm new to watching Bondi and have seen it so many times!

46. I was a lifeguard for a few years and trying to rescue someone who is on the bigger side is extremely difficult. The waves just don’t carry you at all. I had a guy who was around 130kg and had to call back up because he kept tipping the front of my board and I was only 54kg… he came back at our community event 9months later and was down 21kg, said it was a wake up call because he said the second he hit the water he just sunk!!
