Scarlet’s condition was shocking, hearbreaking. It broke us down and made us cry. She was a lifeless skeleton, unable to stand, barely alive, with the saddest eyes. Her body and her spirit were broken.
Scarlet needed two blood transfusions because in spite of eating a lot, none of the nutrients were getting into her because she was so infested with parasites. It took a month of intensive heavy deworming to kill all of the parasites that were feeding off her body.

How do we stop this from happening before it does? There needs to be societal consequences to both injuring and neglecting animals who are suffering. Laws and penalties need to be stiffened. And that takes the will of the people. Carping about it after the fact does not produce change. Do something about it in 2022!

Does anyone ever think about the donor dogs..I know they briefly mentioned that.. but just think about it..we do not have a substitute for blood. Either human or canine. So someone MUST pony up and be strong enough to contribute to the need. It's a difficult request. But in the deepest of heartbreaking 💔💔 conditions.. when you see a desperate puppy just like this.. please think about who is behind the scenes.. patient and loving. With a large bore needle in their vein contributing in their own silent ways. AND say a silent prayer for them, please. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️💓💓.
